Wounded No More is a 501c3 non-profit Christian missions organization that is focused on bringing restoration to the lives of impoverished and underserved residents in the nation’s capital, specifically within Ward’s 7 and 8 of Southeast Washington D.C.
Gene and Lauren Lloyd lead the organization as missionaries to Washington D.C. where they have a heart to restore hope to these residents, help them find the purpose for which they were created, and demonstrate that giving of time, talents and treasure should be a part of everyday, no matter where you are in life or circumstance. Their focus is to help people overcome the challenges they have faced in life through a variety of research proven strategies that lead to personal physical and spiritual restoration as part of a larger strategy to bring community restoration. They envision a city full of life, free from pain, and restored to wholeness in every neighborhood and community.
They have dedicated their lives to this goal above all others and have seen amazing supernatural transformations in many lives as they ministered, trained, and taught others throughout the United States to do the same. They are dedicated to giving back and have spent decades serving others; Lauren as a leader in non-profits advocating for the needs of veterans, military families, and those in underserved populations and Gene, as a twenty-year military veteran and research scientist focused on developing simple solutions for complex problems. Gene has a doctorate in computer science, Lauren has a BS in human services and is currently pursuing a double masters in public administration and divinity. Gene and Lauren are both ordained under the Apostolic Network of Global Awakening and have partnered with them for spiritual covering, training, and to be in community with other ministries.
